ScaffoldMart's most popular frame is the general purpose ladder type frame known as the 5x5 frame.

Our 5x5 frame measures 5' x 5' (1524mm H x 1524mm W x 42mm D x 2.3mm tube wall thickness). All frames are powder coated yellow.

The height is an actual 5' while the width is 5' from center of hole to center of hole across the top. This pattern is the most common in the industry.

We strive for compatibility, with the highest possible interchangeability with other patterns, because we want you to be able to switch to ScaffoldMart brand scaffolding as easily as possible. What determines scaffold stacking compatibility is tube size as well as interlock spacing. Again, the pattern we chose is derived from the most popular old-school patterns in the industry.

From the top view looking downward you will observe a rectangular pattern with 7' spacing from frame-to-frame and a width of 5' (as stated above the frames have a five-foot width).

Our tube size is 1.625" outer diameter, so check your pattern. As long as your pattern is 5' x 7' with the same tube size our pattern will stack with your pattern.

ScaffoldMart scaffolding also has an interlock spacing of 27.75" from center-of-stud to center-of-stud. This matches the most prevalent patterns in the industry as well.

Drilled holes are chamfered and internal slag is hand ground and removed to allow a perfect fit for ease of assembly and disassembly. ISO 9001 manufactured. We have built in as much quality as possible to give an unbeatable value. Please compare and we think you will agree.

We can conservatively rate this frame in a set at 13,500 lbs with a four-to-one safety margin. (See our scaffolding load test results here.) This means deflection or collapse occurs near or above 50,000 lbs, more than enough to support one or two men! SM STYLE HD WALKTHRU SCAFFOLD FRAME W/ BUILT IN LADDER 6.6 X 5:

This is a high quality walkthru frame with C-locks and yellow powdercoating. We have added a ladder to our walkthru pattern to give you the versatility of our walkthru frame and the ability of a ladder frame for climbing ease.  This allows you to build a long tower and walk end to end underneath but be able to climb with ease.  Brace pattern is 27.75 stud to stud same as standard SM pattern. 2.3 mm tube thickness. Upper two locks are C-locks and we include a third lower flip lock so you can move the brace up or down. Move it high when you have a walkboard low on the ladder or move the cross brace low when you are using the board high. It's really nice to have this ability.........and you don't get that with braces on a 4 ft pattern. Weight 52 lbs. 2 Stack pins and 2 spring rivets are included.

 The following are pictures of our 3 locks which gives the ability to move the brace high or low and allows the board to be moved up or down in order to help get it out of your way while working and to avoid interference between the board and brace.

This is our nicest highest quality 6ft 6in x 5ft ladder style scaffold. Frames are 1.625 in OD tube with a thickness of 2.5 mm. Powdercoated yellow and C- locks on the two upper attachment points. We include a lower attachment point so the brace can be moved up or down when working. Use this frame when you want more head clearance than a 5 x 5 frame provides. With this frame you get a full 6 ft 5 inches of head clearance instead of having to bend over while working. Think about that for a moment. Imagine using 5 x 5 with a 5 ft height having 2 sets end to end and walking back and forth and having to step up and over the lower horizontal bar while bending down at the same time. It's not easy! With this taller frame it's a snap.

Bakers Type Scaffold Ladder, Scaffold Frame

This narrow scaffold frame is 6 ft in height and 26.5 inches wide. Our narrow frame has 6 rungs each, spaced a perfect 12 inches apart. Each frame is powder coated yellow. This frame is 1.58 inches outer diameter and has interlock spacing of 27.75 inches from center of stud to center of stud. This allows a 7 ft walkboard to fit nicely.

Use this set of narrow scaffolding in tight places like an alleyway in the city or inside in a hallway with high ceilings. Scaffold outriggers are available to increase the base width approximately 30 inches. If using one on each corner the base width can be increased a total of 60 inches (5 ft). This increases total width to over 7 ft, which allows freestanding to 21 feet. This allows you to stack three sets high and still be stable and within OSHA's 3 times.

This allows versatility that isn't available with 5x5 sets. You can use this in a tight place and then add outriggers for stability when freestanding as a tower. The rungs are perfectly spaced 12 inches apart so walkboard can be adjusted in very small 12-inch increments so you can stand at just the right height.
