Scaffoldmart has worked hard to further develop a nice keel stand into an outstanding one. Our Keel Stand Top has several enhanced features as compared to the original. Dimensions are almost exactly the same. So you can interchange ours with theirs so if you already have stock you can easily make the switch to us and still use a mix of say KS4's and there are no compatibility problems or switchover headaches.

The adjustment range is as follows:

KS 4 16 in to 24 in

KS 3 24 in to 30 in

First we hot dip the base and sell it for less than their painted base. Since the base is constantly in contact with the ground it makes no sense to us to do a painted base as the paint begins rusting as soon as it contacts the ground. We zinc plate the entire top vs simply selling you bare steel. Zinc is a sacrificial metal and combats corrosion and rusting. Next we upgrade the plywood. We use a phenolic resin waterproof resin glue in the plywood layers to help the fight against the weather. Not just an exterior grade glue like everybody else. This is the same plywood we use on our Severe Duty Alum/Ply board that is sold all over the Northern Hemisphere.
We have beefed up the nut collar from 1 in to 1.5 in in length and you can see this in the picture with a finger pointing at the collar. This increases by 50% the mating surface to our square acme thread. And last.... why pay more for the original and get less? Why not pay way less and get way more? Compare our pricing to theirs.
