Scaffoldmart's High Quality Grocery Shopping Carts Please contact jerry@scaffoldmart.com or ransom@scaffoldmart.com for a shipping quote We have heavy inventory of  our GC-DS-100L,   GC-DS-125L and our GC-R-155L.   The rest are lightly inventoried and build to order.   We carry shopping carts of all sizes.    Our carts are high quality.   High quality comes from paying attention to the details.    Read a little below and we’ll outline some of the details that make a difference over the longer term.   These details help our carts to stand up to years of abuse and that’s how we define quality.  Take a look at the videos to get a better idea about them vs just pics.   Details: First our shopping carts have double rods spot welded together around the top of the basket for reinforcement to stand up to years of abuse such as hard bumps.   2 rods mean twice the strength.   Plastic inserts are installed inside the hinges where the back flap hinges up for nesting.   This plastic insert acts as a “bearing”.    Over time when the back flap pivots up and down many times the chrome plate or vinyl coating wears down or away and deterioration such as rust begins due to this metal on metal contact.    These plastic inserts completely prevent metal to metal contact and thus save the chrome plated protective surface.    The result is an increase in the life expectancy of the cart.   Plastic inserts are also installed at the bottom  where the flap would fall and make contact with the bottom of the basket when the basket is suddenly “unnested”.    Store workers or customers normally will yank the basket out quickly and then the flap will freefall slamming into the bottom of the basket.   Our baskets cannot contact metal to metal due to the cushioning effect of these plastic inserts.     Thus this slamming of metal into metal is prevented here as well.   Casters are cycle tested to 1,000,000 cycles.    Seat belts are included.   GC-DS-100L  is a small compact cart.   You would think of this cart as being found at many of the small retail “dollar” type stores.   It’s ideal when space is at a premium and you need to conserve floor square footage.  Cart size is 36.5L x 18.5W x 36.5 H.   Basket is approximately 6102 cu in. GC-DS-125L is a medium size capacity cart that has a compact frame.   The overall size is medium with less height than our 155L but the basket is still rather large.   The tradeoff to achieve this is there is limited space underneath the basket for storage.  Cart size is 35.5 L x 21.75W x 37.5 H.   Basket cap is approximately 8600 cu in. GC-R-155L   is a medium size capacity cart with a large frame.   This cart stands tall and has a lot of space underneath for storage.   Cart size is 36.5L x 22.75W x 39.5 H.   Basket cap is approximately 9,000 cu in.
