Scaffoldmart has finished development work of our
hurricane yacht cradle system. Adjustment height is 68 in to 122 in. Our
hurricane yacht cradle system has 8 heads with a massive ladder type cradle
assembly under the keel. Huge reinforced tripod cradle assembly has been
engineered to withstand substantially more than any other system available in
the world. Pad has a solid 1 inch rubber pad on top of a massive steel 8 mm
plate. Under ribs are reinforced in critical areas to substantially increase
load ratings. This system is entirely hot dipped including the rib
assemblies. All fasteners are hot dipped. Small fasteners are 316L stainless. Included are anchors,
turnbuckles, winches for each head. If you are a marina in hurricane territory
give us a call before you spend more for less elsewhere. Take a look at the
pics below to get a feel for our unit. We will be exhibiting this system at
the International Marina and Boat Yard Conference in Orlando on Feb 1st through
3rd. We are considering the Miami Boat Show as well. Please note that we can
save you significant money over any other solution currently available in the
world. EmailGray@Scaffoldmart.comfor a custom quote and
all the details.
Hurricane Assembly includes:
8 Tripod head assemblies which includes a 13.75 in x
13.75 hot dipped top with a 1 inch rubber pad bolted to this pad
2 Long square tubes (approx 18 ft) to connect the outermost tripod heads on
each end
4 Short square tubes to connect 4 tripod head assemblies to the main cradle
1 Main cradle assembly that Keel rests upon
8 Ground anchors for each tripod assembly approx 6 ft length that is screwed
into ground skid steer with auger attachment works perfect here.
8 Winches (winch is bolted to lower tripod assembly and tightens strap to
anchor)
8 Turnbuckles (attaches winch to strap)
8 Straps (attaches ground anchor to winch)
All fasteners including nuts, bolts, washers.
All components are hot dipped or 316L stainless steel.
This includes the shore post type rib assembly etc that our competitor does not
hot dip. We are working to source a hot dipped winch and should have it
shortly.
Only thing not included are additional straps. On an 8
head kit approximately 14 additional straps are needed but different customers
have different needs so call us to discuss.
We have increased the metal thicknesses of almost every single component from 6
mm to 8 mm on our unit. The adjustable rib assembly has been increased from
48 mm x 60 mm to a huge 60 mm by 77 mm. These have been engineered to fit
your system that you currently have. We have hot dipped this component as
our feedback was “We have to replace these ribs now about every 2 years as they
completely rust out. In addition we constantly have to oil them and this is
messy and time consuming.” So we have fixed this issue. Winches are
another issue. They are currently hard chrome plated. We are going to try
and hot dip them to fix this issue as well.
We added a triangular support bracket to the weakest link discovered during load
tests. The competitive system fails at a dismal 24,800 lbs. With our
improvements I expect a load rating increase of 20,000 to 30,000 additional load
capacity. So competitive system fails @ 24,800 lb’s of load vs ours at
40,000+. We’ll have a 3rd party load test shortly.
The bottom tripod right hand and left hand foundation has
had vertical side plate thickness increased to a massive 8 mm. When observing
this in person……….the difference is nothing short of gigantic.
