Scaffoldmart’s Multifunction Caster Jack
A MUST HAVE to complete your purchase!

We now build a caster jack especially for our multifunction unit. This jack fits between the end ladder frame and or outrigger and the caster. They allow adjustment for slightly greater overall height but are indispensible when working on uneven surfaces or even slightly uneven surfaces. How about using them on stair steps? Until now using a multifunction unit on stairs meant that the unit was never perfectly level unless you are very lucky and the step was exactly on the 2 in adjustment level. In our pics below you can see the unit was not exactly level when we took the photos. Now you put a set of these jacks in place and can get the unit dead level perfect. We invented these. Patent pending.

Scaffoldmart.com’s Multifunction / Baker’s Unit

We have worked hard to bring high quality to our Multifunction/Bakers Scaffolding. We studied the best designs out there and then took the best features from each and we think this has elevated our unit to the next level vs the commonly distributed products available. Notice when comparing…… nobody else has anything to say when describing their unit. It’s because they didn’t design it/or either took the time to engineer it to be the absolute best it could be given the price point we are selling at……which is the lowest in the nation. They are reselling somebody else's unit. Our unit is 6 ft tall x 6 ft long and 29 in total width which is “standard industry sizing”. This size easily goes from room to room through most standard sized 32-33 in doors. Unit is simple and comes in 5 basic pieces. 2 end frames, 2 side rails and 1 wood platform. Also included are 4 toggle pins, 4 span pins and 4 5" casters. It can be easily transported in a truck or van/ or brought out of storage and assembled in about 4-5 mins once you get the hang of it. Unit has a single pin lock and an extra safety hole for a positive lock just below the lock as a double backup for the ultimate in safety.
Walkboards seemed to be a weak point in our sample units after simply walking on them. We decided to add 2 extra steel ribs underneath instead of the more common 2 ribs. This gives a completely solid feel to our board with no squishy feeling. It’s a really solid feeling now vs putting your foot in the middle and the plywood giving ½ to ¾ of an inch and thus it’s what sets our unit apart from lesser quality units. We also use angle iron for each rib instead of flat bar unlike some others.

Next we beefed up the steel thicknesses in critical key areas.    Load ratings are commonly 500 lbs, 750 lbs and 1,000 lbs.   Only the highest quality make a 1,000 lb rating. We are going to rate the unit at 1,000 lbs evenly distributed.   This gives a 6 to 1 safety ratio vs the mandatory ratio of 4 to 1.
     Please note when stacking these units that the caster’s included with each unit and is removed from the top unit and used on the outriggers.
     Scaffoldmart’s Multifunction/Bakers unit uses only hard chrome plated pins, springs and drive pins for rust resistance.   Your wide range of colors are either Hi Visibility Yellow powdercoat or Hi Visibility Yellow powdercoat.   So we have a wide selection of colors to choose from……
     Some don’t realize that this unit can be used on steps. One side can be adjusted to a different height that the opposite side and therefore you can adjust it to fit on a stair steps.

Our outrigger is completely superior to all others. Scaffoldmart’s outrigger pins to the frame with an upper and a lower pin and there is a bolt that when tightened eliminates all slop. Our small outrigger is 18 in long. Use this when stacking 2 high. Do not use this outrigger to exceed 2 units stacked together. Notice the pictures of competitive outriggers that use a clamp to hold in position. Clamps can fatigue and loosen under load and thus we think our outrigger that is attached by pinning is far superior to a clamp. We will no longer sell an outrigger that clamps into place. Scaffoldmart’s Multifunction Safety Rail Package

Use this package when stacking units. Fits on top via stack pins and has a swing gate that opens on each end. Includes a toe board all the way around the bottom. Fits down on the walkboard for a snug perfect fit and is located inside the outer end ladders. This allows the unit to be moved up or down with the side rails…… Gate swings to the inside and uses a gravity lock stud to lock in the closed position.
