The stem of this caster wheel is 1 3/8th" outer diameter with a 4-inch length. It has a double safety margin built into the load rating. Our wheel is Heavy Duty, load tested to handle 500 lbs with a 8-to-1 safety margin. (See our scaffolding load test results here.)

The scaffold caster wheel is an 8" cast-iron wheel with a rubber overlay that is 2 inches wide and over an inch of rubber covering the iron caster wheel. There are ball bearings in the pivot mechanism to handle high loading. Double zirk grease fittings. Double lock to maintain rock solidness. Locks to prevent wheel pivot and locks to prevent the scaffold caster wheel from rolling. Upper steel body is galvanized.  Hole location on stem is 2.5 inches from the base.

Scaffoldmart now carries the best caster made in the world.   Due to wild circumstances similar to GM's.....we were approached at World of Concrete while exhibiting and long story short decided to add this wheel to our lineup.  Carried for 27 yrs by one of the oldest scaffold companies in America( or almost the oldest)  If you are a rental dealer chances are very good that you have this wheel in inventory.  Only now you can only get this wheel from us.  If you reorder with them you will get a wheel that pivots sideways at the slightest hand pressure and rolls with slight side pressure and the stem has so much clearance it wobbles wildly.  Take a look at the pics and you will recognize these below.

Scaffoldmart's 8 in Cast Iron Center Premium Caster Normal standard stem size is 1 3/8 in.  This will fit #6 tube or 1.58 or 1.69 OD tube (Waco, Safeway, Vanguard, Biljax types)   We also now carry this wheel with a 1 1/8 in stem (28.5mm)
8 in HD caster.  Stem is 1 3/8ths. Hole height 2.5 in	Extremely overbuilt	Cast iron center section with 2 in wide rubber vuncun/heat  fused to iron center.	Tab is large enough to support your weight which we don't recommend using full body weight to lock wheel.  But it's strong enough to take punishment.
CClean machining.  High grade steel used in body.	TTake a look at the massive brake tab.  It's 5 mm thick.  Enormous!	Zerk fitting for grease	Pics shows tab seratation how it fits race absolutely perfectly.  This gives zero slippage
